About

In the growing age of secularism and Islamophobia, the narratives of the Muslim diaspora community are being unheard and the needs are being unmet. We acknowledge the various challenges, oppressions, and discrimination faced by Muslims across the city of Toronto and the GTA. Our recently launched Virtual Storytelling Project: Embroidered Memories is digital art installation celebrating Muslim youth voices in diaspora.

The 2021 Exhibit showcases personal narratives submissions in painting, spoken word, short documentary and creative writing. We welcome new work, old work, rare work, and inspiring work made by Muslim youth who have not yet shared their stories with our community.

Our mission is to provide Muslim youth a creative platform to be seen and recognized - to embrace identity and celebrate resiliency amidst the challenging times we find ourselves in.

Be able to express yourself and share your stories with us!

Submissions will remain open as we want this project to remain a significant part of our Muslim community for years to come.
